PROTECTING MY NATURAL HAIR WHILE TRAVELING
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope all of you took the time to connect to the flow of your energy over the holidays and align with all of the blessings coming your way in 2022! Today, I want to write about something that I personally haven’t seen enough of; quick, protective natural hairstyles while traveling. The last few times I’ve traveled, I spent the average amount of time planning flights, stays, transportation, you know, the usual stuff. Then I paid double the amount of time thinking about wearing my natural hair. Some of us may decide on braids, perhaps a sew-in, or simply going for the trusty slicked back bun. However, constantly pulling your hair back into a ponytail or bun can cause tension and breakage. Then there are the products and tools you have to pack; this usually ends with forgetting something at home. Another thing is time. Have you ever had dinner reservations an hour after you went swimming? Not happening.
Basically, I say all this to say, I wish I would have started traveling with wigs sooner!
I’m excited that this post is sponsored by Luvme Hair to help me show you all the quick and easy ways we can style and protect our curls while we explore the world!
Luvme Hair provides a variety of affordable and quality human hair wigs that are perfect to complete your look for your next trip! Whether looking for frontal lace, glueless, headband, or u-part wigs, Luvme Hair has something for everyone!
“Ooooh this is niiiiice!”: Luvme Hair Headband Wig
Luvme Hair sent me this gorgeous headband wig. The style is “Affordable Headband Wig Beginner Friendly,” and the length is 24”. The packaging was beautiful, and they sent some fun headbands to wear with it. The wig has a nice comfortable cap with 4 combs inside to secure it on your head. It is attached to a plain black headband, and you can also add other fun headbands to match your look.
Before I put the wig on, I made sure to wash, moisturize, and braid my hair to keep my hair protected and ensure the wig fits on my head well without any lumps. I then put on a wig cap as it further protects my hair and helps the wig stay in place.
A Night Out
I love having a fun night out while traveling but usually catch myself not having enough time to do my hair, makeup, and get dressed! This headband wig looks perfect with a sleek and straight look for a nice dinner and drinks, and it only took me 5 minutes to put on and style before heading out!
When I went to London, I was out all day sightseeing and wanted to have my hair pulled back neatly while I was on the go. Having a sleek ponytail looks chic while protecting your hair from the breakage that can happen from pulling your own hair tightly and creating tension.
Beach Club Babe
The beach can get super hot, and my natural hair will immediately frizz when I am anywhere near saltwater. Pulling my hair up in this cute bun keeps me cool under the sun and keeps hair out of my face while I’m sipping on beachside margaritas!
Usually, I’m that active, hiking, ziplining, jumping in a volcano type of traveler. I’m not sure if it is just me, but something about two braids always makes me feel extra sporty. The braids are guaranteed to stay neat and in place while you are on the go all day and will give the hair nice waves once you take them down.
I can’t wait to wear some of these styles on my next trip (which means you will see these looks again)! Again, I want to send a huge thank you to Luvme Hair for sponsoring this post and inspiring me to add more travel topics to this blog. I have so much to share with you this year, so be sure you’re subscribed to this blog, so you don’t miss my next post!
