For Every Woman Who Fought: A Day of Crowns, Courage, and Being Seen
There are stories that don't just need to be told—they need to be honored.
At Luvme Hair, we've always believed beauty is more than what you wear. It's how you feel. It's how you heal.
That's why this October, as part of our Crowns of Courage 365 commitment, we created something sacred: Queen for a Day—a cinematic, immersive experience honoring five breast cancer warriors not as survivors, but as the royalty they are.
More Than an Event - A Living Fairytale
We didn't simply host an event. We created a living fairytale—one where each woman's journey was met with the reverence it deserved. At the soulful Redline Hotel in Venice Beach, we crafted a sanctuary where Hollywood-level glamour met heartfelt intimacy, where couture gowns and Luvme premium wigs became not just accessories, but armor. But the true magic wasn't in the transformation—it was in the moment each woman saw her own strength reflected back at her.
Five Queens, Five Legacies: In Their Own Words
[LaQuinta — Crown of Resilience]
LaQuinta Jones, Triple Negative Breast Cancer survivor:
"My diagnosis shifted from Stage 1 to Stage 4, and at just 48 years old, I was told my future was uncertain. But I refused to let cancer dictate my story. This journey became my greatest test of faith and strength. In those moments of despair when I first heard, 'It's cancer,' I collapsed, overcome with fear of leaving my sons behind. But when I rose, I rose stronger. Cancer did not break me; it awakened me."
[Andrea — Crown of Courage]
Andrea Walker-Williamson, mother and producer:
"Earlier this year, while planning my son's prom send-off, I was diagnosed with stage two triple-negative breast cancer. As a mother of three who founded my production company after losing my husband, I've been navigating this process with strength and optimism. I continue to focus on maintaining balance—staying active when possible and ensuring stability and hope remain constant for both my children and myself."
[Jenifer — Crown of Renewal]
Jenifer McKee, Go2Girls founder:
"I've had six surgeries over eighteen months, with complications, recovery setbacks, and moments that tested every bit of strength I had. But my family and community lifted me up. And through it all, I began to see myself differently—not broken, but reborn. I share my story today because as women, we must advocate for ourselves if something doesn't feel right."
[Felicia — Crown of Confidence]
Felicia, advocate and believer:
"I share this information because I am now at a point where I've had the opportunity to reflect on everything I've been through. I realize that I was not prepared mentally for any of this. I've literally had the majority of my body parts that define us as 'women' removed. But through every mishap or misstep, God was directing my path. It gets difficult sometimes, but TRUSTING GOD and PRAYER are POWERFUL."
[Sandie "Big Mama" — Crown of Legacy]
Sandie "Big Mama", warrior and believer:
"To be surrounded by such strength and beauty today has been a blessing. This crown represents not just my journey, but the legacy of all the women who have walked this path before me."
The Real Meaning Behind Our Crowns
This is what "Luvme For Real" truly means. We know that hair is never just hair—it's identity, it's dignity, it's how we show up in the world, especially when the world has asked us to be strong for too long. That's why Crowns of Courage 365 isn't a campaign—it's our covenant to stand with women through both pain and power, 365 days a year.
Queen for a Day was our love letter to every woman who's had to be her own hero. It was our way of saying: We see you. We honor you. And you've always deserved the crown.
Carrying Their Light Forward
You don't walk away from a day like this unchanged.
You carry the laughter, the tears, the truth—and the reminder that within every woman lies a queen.
Sometimes, she just needs a space to remember how to wear her crown.
