What is Black History Month and Why is it Important
Originally known as "Negro History Week," Black History Month was established in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson. Later expanded to a month-long observance in 1976, February was chosen to align with the birthdays of pivotal figures Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, both central to the abolition of slavery and the advancement of civil rights. This annual celebration is dedicated to recognizing the achievements, contributions, and cultural impact of the African American community. It's a time to highlight the impactful stories and experiences of individuals, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of their enduring legacy. How to Celebrate Black History Month
Celebrating Black History Month involves attending local events, exploring literature and films that highlight the achievements of African Americans, and supporting Black-owned businesses and Black artists.

I celebrate Black History Month by immersing myself in the rich and inspiring history of those who have paved the way for the BIPOC community. I am passionate about researching and learning about the incredible individuals who have made significant impacts in creating space and opportunities for our community.
One way I celebrate Black history is by honoring my ancestors and acknowledging their strength, resilience, and contributions. I take time to reflect on their sacrifices and the progress we have made due to their bravery.
Additionally, I recognize and celebrate the achievements of modern-day trailblazers who are making a difference in today's world. For example, I greatly admire Mayor Karen Bass, who has dedicated her life to public service and advocacy. Her impactful leadership and unwavering commitment to community empowerment inspire me and remind me of the importance of continuous progress.
Furthermore, I actively engage with educational events, workshops, and discussions centered around Black history. By amplifying diverse voices and stories, I strive to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for the experiences and contributions of the Black community throughout history.
Overall, celebrating Black History Month is a time for me to honor our collective past, acknowledge the present strides, and remain committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable future for all.

What is your favorite Luvme Hair product?
Of course the wigs are my favorite, but my second favorite Luvme wig product would be the new Wig Renewal Kit. I have used it on many different wigs at this point. The products cleanse my wigs without damaging or stripping away the natural oils of the hair. They also enhanced the appearance of my wigs while being gentle and safe. There was also a pleasant fragrance.
How do you celebrate Black History Month?
I celebrate Black History Month in many ways. During this month and others, I take the time to educate myself about the history, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals. This may include reading books, watching documentaries, or attending lectures. I also support Black Owned Businesses and promote them on my social media platforms. During BHM, I also find ways to volunteer in the community to offer service and support that assist with uplifting Black communities. I also find it just as important to share the knowledge that so have personally acquired. It is essential to engage in conversations with family, friends, and co-workers to raise awareness and promote understanding. I also take time during BHM to reflect and take action. It is essential to consider how I can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society. Finally, I celebrate Black Excellence. I take the time to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black individuals in various fields, such as science, literature, sports, politics, and entertainment. I also share their stories and accomplishments with others.

How do you celebrate Black History Month?
I'm a Black female 365 days and I celebrate that every moment. My identity cannot be contained, confined, or boiled down to just 28 days and 1 extra day every now and then like it's a treat. History never stops. Every nanosecond our future is the present that becomes our past in the next second. We have to celebrate and embrace all of it continuously. So, I do. I appreciate what those who came before me endured so I could live as frivolously free as I do. I was born at the right time.
