Due to its special structure, Drawstring wigs only have 360 lace wigs and full lace wigs to choose from.
From the perspective of the lace area, Drawstring wigs are upgraded versions of 360 lace wigs and full lace wigs.
From the perspective of color, drawstring wigs are currently only available in natural black.
If you have a favorite color, you can send an email to blog@luvmehair.com and we will consider your favorite color in the next product iteration.
360 wigs and full lace wigs from different brands have different design details. Luvme's standard 360 wigs and full lace wigs are equipped with adjustable straps and elastic bands to provide stability.
Drawstring 360 wigs and Drawstring full lace wigs use transparent drawstrings instead of adjustable straps, making the head circumference adjustable while becoming more invisible and cleverly hiding the wig traces.
In addition, Drawstring 360 wigs and Drawstring full lace wigs are upgraded with silicone non-slip elastic bands, allowing you to install the wig more securely.
Finally, regular 360 wigs and full lace wigs require glue to be finally installed. Drawstring wigs use transparent drawstrings to tighten the wig to achieve a secure installation.
In general, drawstring wigs have excellent improvements in natural appearance, stability, and ease of wear.
It is recommended to remove the wig for cleaning and maintenance at least once every 1-2 weeks.
First, prepare a basin of warm water, then add shampoo and stir well.
Then soak the wig in warm water and comb it slowly from the roots to the ends with your fingers to reduce tangles and wash away dust. Be careful not to twist or rub the wig hard. This cleaning process can be repeated 1-2 times to completely remove dust and styling spray and essential oils attached to the wig.
Prepare another basin of warm water, add 1-2 pumps of conditioner (5-10 ml) and stir well. The longer your wig is, the more conditioner you need. You don't need to save conditioner in this step. Soak the cleaned wig in warm water and comb the wig in the same way to make sure every strand of hair is soaked in conditioner. When your wig is completely smooth, and no knots can be felt, let the wig soak in water to absorb the conditioner for 15 minutes.
Finally, use another basin of clean water to simply wash the surface conditioner, then use your thumb and index finger to hold the wig and squeeze out the water from the root to the end of the hair.
Place the wig on a foam head or wig strand, and then put it in a cool and ventilated place to air dry naturally. Avoid using a hot hair dryer to dry it during this process. If you want it to dry as quickly as possible, you can use cold air with negative ions to speed up the drying.
Tips:
When the wig becomes half wet and half dry, it is the best time to adjust the shape.
If you want the wig to be straight after air drying, you need to comb the wig vertically from the root to the end of the hair with a fine-tooth comb at this time.
If you want the wig to keep the curl after air drying, you need to use the Hair Roller Flexible and Soft Foam Hair Curler to fix it in advance. When it is completely air-dried, it will have a natural wavy style.
If your wig is small curls, you need to use your fingers or a smaller stick to redefine the curls at this time (that is, re-wrap the curls. This process will take a lot of time, but it is necessary)
Drawstring wigs do not require glue to be installed. You can easily put the wig on, tighten the transparent drawstring, and then hide the drawstring in the wig. Of course, the appropriate use of get2b spray can make the lace edge fit the skin, so as to achieve a more natural look.
If you maintain good wig usage habits, do not pull the wig violently, and clean and maintain it regularly, then Drawstring Wigs can last 1 to 3 years.
Drawstring wigs feature an adjustable drawstring built into the wig cap to help create a closer, more customizable fit. Luvme Hair offers drawstring wig styles across different lace areas, textures, lengths, and cap constructions, giving you more ways to choose a wig based on your preferred installation and styling routine.
At Luvme, a drawstring wig refers primarily to a wig with an adjustable drawstring cap system rather than a traditional drawstring ponytail extension. Depending on the individual product, the adjustable cap may be paired with lace front, 360 lace, full lace, half wig, V-part, braided, or other constructions. Features vary by style, so compare the specifications on each product page before ordering.
Lace coverage and cap construction affect how a drawstring wig fits, how much natural hair or lace remains visible, and what styling options are available. Start with the construction that best matches your routine.
Front lace provides a natural-looking hairline and parting area, while the adjustable drawstring helps customize how closely the cap fits around the head.
Lace around the perimeter can provide additional styling flexibility for ponytails and updos, depending on the individual wig construction.
Broader lace coverage can provide more flexible parting and styling. Check the individual product for lace type, cap size, securing method, and hair material.
Half wigs allow part of your natural hair to remain visible for blending while adding volume, texture, or length through the rest of the style.
A V-shaped opening lets natural hair create the visible part while the drawstring cap helps provide additional control over fit and placement.
Braided, curly, wavy, straight, and textured-straight options make it possible to choose a drawstring wig based on both cap construction and finished hairstyle.
The right drawstring wig depends on more than the hairstyle. Compare the lace area, cap construction, fit, texture, length, hair material, and installation requirements before choosing.
Installation varies by cap and lace construction. The tutorial below demonstrates one way to install and style a full lace drawstring wig using a glue-spray method.
In this tutorial, you can see:
Use the table below as a starting point when comparing different drawstring wig constructions. Exact lace size, cap features, hair material, and installation requirements should always be confirmed on the individual product page.
| Wig Construction | Main Feature | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| Lace Front | Front lace creates a visible hairline and parting area. | Lace size, parting space, pre-cut status, and securing method. |
| 360 Lace | Lace extends around the perimeter for additional styling flexibility. | Perimeter lace, drawstring adjustment, cap fit, and updo compatibility. |
| Full Lace | Wider lace coverage can provide flexible parting and styling options. | Lace construction, cap measurements, hair material, and installation method. |
| Half Wig | Natural front hair remains visible while the wig adds fullness or length. | Leave-out area, texture match, blending, and drawstring adjustment. |
| V-Part | A narrow opening allows natural hair to form the visible part. | Leave-out amount, texture match, cap placement, and fit. |
Care requirements depend on the hair material and wig construction. Avoid pulling aggressively on the cap or drawstring, detangle gently from the ends upward, wash only when needed with products appropriate for the hair type, and allow the wig to dry completely before storing it.
A drawstring wig has an adjustable drawstring built into the cap. Tightening or loosening the drawstring helps customize the fit and can provide additional security. At Luvme, the term primarily refers to the wig-cap adjustment system rather than a drawstring ponytail extension.
Some drawstring wigs are designed for glueless wear, but a drawstring does not automatically mean every wig is adhesive-free. Check the individual product description for its lace construction, securing system, and recommended installation method.
They can be. The adjustable cap can make fit customization easier, while selected features such as pre-cut lace or a pre-plucked hairline can reduce preparation. Beginners should compare each product's installation requirements before choosing.
The drawstring adjusts the cap so it sits closer to the head. Depending on the individual design, bands, straps, combs, lace placement, or other cap features may provide additional stability. The finished fit should feel snug without uncomfortable pressure.
Some drawstring wigs can support ponytails or updos, especially constructions with greater perimeter or full-lace coverage. Styling flexibility varies by wig, so check the lace area and product instructions before choosing a style specifically for updos.
There is no single lifespan for every drawstring wig. Longevity depends on the hair material, cap construction, frequency of wear, washing, heat styling, detangling, and storage. Gentle handling and product-specific care can help preserve the wig for longer.
