Breast Cancer Awareness Month has arrived, and at Luvme Hair, we're honored to be part of the movement to make a difference. Throughout the week of October 1st to October 7th, 2023, we joined forces with Breastcancer.org to support the cause, and together with our incredible community, we raised over $6,000 in donations. This contribution will directly benefit Breastcancer.org and its mission to empower individuals facing breast cancer. Breastcancer.org is a well-respected source of information, support, and community for individuals affected by breast cancer. The organization offers evidence-based resources, expert medical advice, and a supportive community to help those navigating the challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis.

In this blog, we'll recap our partnership and share some inspiring stories from our Luvme Hair community.

Our Dedication to the Cause
Breast Cancer Awareness Month holds a special place in our hearts at Luvme Hair. It's a time for us to shift our focus from beauty to a cause that affects countless lives. Our partnership with Breastcancer.org underscores our commitment to supporting the fight against breast cancer and our mission to provide help and hope to those battling this challenging disease.

Our CEO, Helena, captured our sentiments perfectly when she said, "At Luvme Hair, our commitment to supporting the fight against breast cancer runs deep. We believe in the power of compassion, community and genuine care. Joining hands with Breastcancer.org during Breast Cancer Awareness Month is not just a partnership; it's a heartfelt commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of those affected by breast cancer."

Stories from Our Luvme Hair Community

Our partnership with Breastcancer.org deeply resonated with our community, and many shared their own experiences and messages of support:

  • Doris, a breast cancer survivor, expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you Luvme Hair for supporting us warriors. I want to encourage every woman to get their mammograms every year!"

  • Janet, currently battling breast cancer, offered inspiring words that touched our hearts: "First and foremost, I want you to know that it's okay to feel scared, angry, and even overwhelmed at times. Cancer is a formidable adversary, and it's natural to have moments of doubt. But remember that these emotions do not define you. You are defined by your resilience, your determination, and your unwavering spirit."

  • Vivian, another breast cancer survivor, shared "Since my battle with cancer, I have encouraged women on the journey to embrace whatever makes them happy (bald, wig, wraps, caps), think positive (it is a hard fight, but it is possible)."

Join Us in Making a Difference

Our donation of over $6,000 to Breastcancer.org was made possible through the generosity of our customers, and we invite you to continue being a part of this crucial mission. As part of our ongoing commitment, we’ve introduced a special collection called WIGS FOR BREAST CANCER PATIENTS, aimed at providing even more support to those battling this disease. By choosing Luvme Hair products during the week of October 1st to October 7th, 2023, you not only enhanced your own beauty but also contributed to the beauty of making a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

Your purchase during this special week directly contributed to Breastcancer.org's ongoing efforts to empower and inform individuals facing breast cancer. Together, we aimed to raise awareness, promote early detection, and improve the lives of those impacted by this disease.

It is an honor of gratitude and thanks to luvmehair for honoring breastcancer month by showing your love for breastcancer patience/survivors. During my breastcancer journey in the year of 2015, they were no African American wigs at the local
cancer society, however I had one made by a beautician here that were also a survivor.
Thank you so much for your support and consideration🩷🎀

Thank God, I am a 27 year breast cancer survivor. I retired from the Government September 30th, 1995; my husband of 35 years died December 14th, 1996. and I was diagnosed with breast cancer March 26, 1997.I had a lumpectomy, Chemotherapy and 34 rounds of radiation. My faith in God along with my family, friends and a good medical team were what got me through. Breast cancer is not something that I would have raised my hand to say I want, but it has made me more appreciative of life and I have asked myself and God, “Who better to Get Cancer than Me”.

Hang in there, this too shall pass. We have to be in special place of peace, determination and strength. These are the tools that helped me get to and through breast cancer, although I must say that prayer and my faith in the Most High brought me from a place of darkness into His marvelous Light.with healing in His Wings. Stay strong and pull out the tools that you didn’t think you had and hopefully, healing will shine upon you all.
