How to clean braided wigs?
Just like other human hair wigs, braided lace front wigs and full lace braided wigs need to be cleaned of grease and dust to avoid damaging the hair. It is worth noting that braided wigs need to pay more attention to the maintenance of their shape to avoid pulling the braids during the cleaning process. Here is the cleaning process:
Step 1. Fill the sink with warm water, then add enough mild shampoo and stir. When there is abundant foam in the sink, soak the wig in the sink. Pinch the wig cap part and rotate the wig clockwise in the sink to use the water flow to remove the surface dust.
Step 2. Use your fingers to gently knead the lace edge to remove the glue and grease on the lace part. Lift and soak the wig repeatedly, using the water flow and gravity to further remove dust.
Step3. Turn on the faucet and rinse the braids from the root to the end of the hair. If your faucet water pressure is strong, this step can be done by soaking in clean water and gently squeezing the braids with your hands. This step is to clean the dust and residual shampoo.
Step 4. If you plan to maintain the braided wigs(human hair wig), you can prepare another basin of warm water and add conditioner. Soak the wig for 20 minutes, and then repeat the cleaning steps in Step 3.
Step 5. Wrap the braided wig with a dry towel to absorb the moisture on its surface. Place it on the foam head, wrap the braids around the foam head, and then use pins to fix the middle and end of each braid. When the braids are wet, they will become heavier, and under the influence of gravity, they will pull on the lace. In order to reduce the pulling of the lace, you need to fix each braid cleverly. After the braids are fixed, place the foam head in a cool and ventilated place to dry naturally.

How to maintain braids wigs
Regular washing and conditioner are necessary to maintain human hair braided wigs. You can clean and maintain it regularly every two weeks, or you can use it until you feel it is necessary.
It is worth noting that the Luvme Twist Wig needs to be hung on the foam head in a semi-wet condition after cleaning and maintenance. Then redefine its curl with your fingers (you can also do this with a stick less than 1 cm in diameter). Appropriate use of hair care oil or elastin during this process can help restore its natural curl.
If you need to remove your braids and rewash them, use a generous amount of conditioner before undoing them. This will help reduce friction between the hair, making it easier to comb and less tangled.

How do I determine which braided wig length is best for me?
Consider your height, face shape, and personal style preferences. 18-24 incheses tends to suit most. Measure from your crown to find where lengths fall on your body. Long braided wigs are obviously more gorgeous and charming, while short braided wigs look energetic and vibrant. Choose a length that aligns with your style goals.
How much hair do I need for braiding my natural hair underneath?
To blend braided wigs naturally, you need at least 2 incheses of your own hair to braid underneath. This allows your real hair to blend seamlessly with the wig's braided texture. Longer hair gives more styling options.
Should I choose a braided wig with straight or curly ends?
Braided wigs with curly ends create a lively, playful look. Wigs with straight ends appear sleeker and more polished. Choose your preferred texture based on the style you wish to achieve. Both give versatile styling options.
How long does a human hair braided wig last?
With proper care, including gentle washing, air drying, nightly removal, and storage on a wig stand, a human hair braided wig will typically last 12 months or longer before needing replacement.
How to Make Braided Wigs
start with a high-quality lace wig cap that fits securely. Use a ventilating needle to attach pre-stretched synthetic or human hair to the cap, knotting each strand carefully through the lace to create a realistic scalp effect. For full lace wigs, this process can take several days due to the detailed handwork involved. After securing the hair, braid it into the desired style—such as box braids, cornrows, or twists—ensuring consistency in size and tightness. Use hot water sealing or hair mousse to finish and set the braids, especially if using synthetic hair. For the most natural look, pluck the hairline slightly and add baby hairs. You can also tint the lace to better match the wearer’s skin tone. Precision, patience, and high-quality materials are key to creating a durable, natural-looking braided wig that is both stylish and protective for the wearer’s natural hair.
